I hope your summer break is going well. I am sending out some information about the upcoming school year.
On July 30, 2024, we are opening our school-wide registration. All of this can be completed online using Focus. If you have forgotten your username or password, please request one or call our office for help. PLEASE DO NOT CREATE A NEW ACCOUNT. If you need help with any online piece, you can come in on July 30 from 8:00 am – 6:00 pm. After this date, you can still come in for help, but the hours will be 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.
Next year, we will continue to offer free breakfast, but it will be served in the cafeteria from 7:45 to 8:10 am. If students arrive late to school, they will not have the opportunity to eat breakfast, and class will begin at 8:15 am.
We are seeking volunteers to serve on our PTA and Community Council boards for the upcoming school year. Your involvement is crucial to our school’s success, and we are very grateful to those who have served in previous years. If you are interested or have any questions about either position, please email me at cholt@graniteschools.org, and I will be happy to explain more about what it entails. We truly appreciate and value parent involvement at the school.
School will begin for everyone on August 14, 2024, at 8:10 am. If you are new to Orchard and/or have a kindergarten student, we will hold an informational meeting for parents on August 14 at 8:30 am in the cafeteria.
We will have a school carnival on August 15 from 4:00–7:00 pm.
