Orchard Families,
The application for Kindergarten through Twelfth Grade students who want to attend a Granite School District school other than the student’s residence boundary school will open on November 15, 2024. Below is the link to the online application.
We are looking forward to focusing on Gratitude over the next few weeks! One way to think about Gratitude is “choosing to appreciate the people and things in our lives.” Practicing Gratitude can increase our well-being and even our happiness!
Gratitude is one of three traits we will focus on throughout the year that help students Be Well. Across grade levels, students will develop skills like emotion regulation, positive self-talk, and stress management.
Orchard is part of a study that could involve a boundary change or possible school closure. The school board will meet on November 12 at 7:00 pm to hear public comment about this study. The meeting will occur at the district office, located at 2500 South State Street. Let me know if you have any questions.
Our Halloween parade will be held outside on Thursday, October 31, at 9:00 a.m. At 8:45 a.m., the drop-off lane will be blocked off for an hour so the students can walk through safely. Parade watchers will sit on the grass or in the driveway, so plan to bring a lawn chair or blanket.
