April 10, 2025School News

This year we will be doing the talent show in two waves. The first talent shows will be performed within their own grade levels (3rd, 4th, 5th). Each grade level will vote on the top 3 performances within their grade to go on to a school-wide talent show in May (date TBD). Grade-level talent show dates are:

  • 5th grade: Friday, April 18th at 11am
  • 3rd grade: Tuesday, April 22nd at 9am
  • 4th grade: Thursday, April 24th at 2pm

Parents and families are welcome to attend these performances.

Auditions will be done through online video submission. You must fill out this form and upload a video act by Wed. April 18th in order to be able to participate in the grade-level talent shows.

Talent Show Guidelines

  • 3rd, 4th and 5th graders are invited to participate in individual grade level talent shows.
  • Acts can be 1-2 min long, shorter is preferred.
  • Each student can only participate in ONE act.
  • Acts, including the music and dance, cannot contain suggestive or violent lyrics or gestures, profanity of any kind of otherwise explicit lyrics. Please make sure performances are elementary age appropriate and do not reference any adult content.
  • Students may submit videos of their talents if they are not conducive to performing at the school- for example: a montage of sports or artwork (paintings, pottery, etc). Please try to keep these shorter than 1 min as they can add up (30-45 sec). If the talent is performance based, please do everything you can to do it live (for example, a dance should be performed live, rather than a video submitted of a dance team).
  • If your act requires music, please include the song link or information on the form.
  • You will be asked to submit a video of yourself performing the act as the audition. This does not need to be polished, just show us the music you’ll be using and how it will look. Be fully ready to perform on your grade’s day. If you are submitting a video montage as your act, this is also the place to submit it.
  • Contact Kathy Jedrzejczyk at kathyj84@gmail.com (801-231-7713) with questions.
