We will begin the process of assembling class lists for the 2017-2018 school year. If you would like to have input on your child’s placement for next year, please contact Dr. Prescott as soon as possible. The deadline for parent input is Friday, April 28. We have four teachers retiring: Mrs. Wilkin, Mrs. Elliot, Mrs. Winegar and Mrs. Parker. Mr. Pulley will move to 3rd grade.
The 3rd term report cards will be sent home on Wednesday, April 5th!
The end of year testing begins this month; please encourage your child to do their very best on their assessments. To help them do their best, please make sure they get enough sleep each night, have a good breakfast in the morning and send them off to school with positive words and encouragement. During the week of May 1-5, there will be free breakfast for all students. 🙂
Parents of Kindergarten students: please be aware that the week of May 8-12 is the Kindergarten Post-Assessment time. There will be no Kindergarten classes this week. Please make arrangements for child care for all five days. Students will have individual appointments for their assessment; the Kindergarten teachers will notify you of your child’s appointment time. School will resume on Monday, May 15.
The Mobile Food Pantry will be on April 10, 3:30-4:30 pm. If the weather is nice we will distribute the food outside otherwise we will be in the gym.
We appreciate our Community Council for providing our students with the opportunity to have Band and Orchestra instruction two days each week. The students who participate in this program will present a concert on Thursday, April 27, at 6:30 pm in our gym. We invite our community members to attend. 🙂
If you have a child who will be in Kindergarten next year, please come in and register her/him. Children who are the age of 5 on or before September 1, 2017, are eligible to enroll.
Looking Ahead: the 2017-2018 school year will begin on August 21, for all 1-6 grade students.
