Mobile Food Pantry

The Utah Food Bank will be providing their Mobile Food Pantry service to the students/families of Pleasant Green Elementary on the 2nd Monday of each month from 3:30-4:15 pm, with the exception of September where it will be on September 17th due to the previously scheduled Blood Drive. If you would like to volunteer, please coordinate with the Pleasant Green Elementary PTA or the office. Volunteers should arrive at 3 pm.
Your oldest child at the school will now be issued a pink mobile food pantry pass by their teacher to collect food on behalf of the family at the monthly mobile food pantry. Parents will no longer be issued food unless they go through the line with their child. If your oldest or only child is in kindergarten or first grade, we especially invite you to visit the pantry with your student to help carry the heavy bags. Your school is scheduled to have the mobile food pantry on the 2nd Monday of every month, unless otherwise noted.
If you want your student to participate on the day of the food pantry, please tell your child before school and decide whether they should ride the bus home, walk home, or if they will be picked up. The office cannot handle phone calls during the day to tell students what the parents want them to do with the food.
If you DO NOT want your child to participate, please tell them to tell their teacher “no” or to give the pass back to their teacher.
