December 13, 2016
I want to take this opportunity to wish you and yours a very happy holiday season. We are doing amazing things at Plymouth Elementary. Many of our teachers are doing service learning projects with their students to teach them the importance of giving and service to the community. Our after school program is making blankets for patients at Primary Children’s Hospital.
I am thankful to be a part of such a wonderful school community. Every day, I see students practicing their leadership skills and following our Leader in Me program. Our Playworks program helps students at recess with their conflict resolution skills and learning how to play appropriately with each other. We are ‘wild about learning’ at Plymouth and have a goal to read over two million minutes this year. Our wonderful PTA supplies our school with various activities to support students. If you are not a member, please consider joining.
I hope to see you at our school sing-along on December 22nd at 9:30 a.m. The students love to perform for family and friends. I will allow parents to take pictures but would ask that you respect the other family and friends sitting behind you and sit when directed. In the past, we have had parents who ignore my request to sit and they block the view of others. This year, I would like to avoid such behavior by having everyone sit when asked.
In closing, I would like to thank you for sharing your students with us. On behalf of the staff at Plymouth Elementary, I wish you all the best.
Matthew Graham, Principal
