On Tuesday, March 14 and Wednesday, March 15, we will have our second round of using an Intervention Time Schedule, where we have 24-minute blocks each day for students to go to specific teachers to get support, get interventions on specific learning standards, and/or retake assessments, etc. All Granite District high schools are utilizing Intervention Time on a trial basis.
Teachers may reach out inviting specific students to attend their sessions, but as we will only do this for 2 days at this time, it won’t be possible for every student to get to every class. We encourage students to choose the opportunity where they feel the biggest need or know they can get the most accomplished during that 24-minute block. If there is a class where a student needs support but is not able to attend due to using other intervention opportunities, students are always encouraged to work with teachers and use time before or after school as possible in addition to class time. This Intervention Time comes the week of our Universal Deadline, which is Thursday, March 16 for 3rd quarter. Though there may have been additional deadlines throughout the quarter, the Universal Deadline represents the final deadline for the quarter.
