\n\n\n\nWhat is GTI?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
The Granite Technical Institute (GTI)<\/strong> gives Granite School District students access to specialized Career and Technical Education (CTE) courses and programs that may not be available at their home high school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n GTI courses provide hands-on, career-focused learning in a variety of fields. Students attending GTI are responsible for knowing their class times, approved release times, and transportation schedules.<\/p>\n\n The bus leaves Skyline at:<\/p>\n 7:10 AM<\/p>\n Monday\u2013Friday<\/p>\n <\/div>\n\n The bus leaves Skyline at:<\/p>\n 10:40 AM<\/strong> \u2014 Monday\u2013Thursday<\/p>\n 11:00 AM<\/strong> \u2014 Friday<\/p>\n <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n\n GTI buses pick up students on the east side of Skyline at the roundabout near the football field<\/strong>. Please arrive on time. The bus will not wait for late students.<\/p>\n\n Your GTI or other off-campus class takes priority over Skyline assemblies, intervention, and alternate schedules.<\/p>\n If intervention conflicts with your off-campus class, work with your teacher to attend on the alternate intervention day.<\/p>\n If you want or need to attend an assembly, visit the Career Center before the day of the assembly<\/strong> so we can help arrange the necessary excusals.<\/p>\n Remember:<\/strong> GTI buses depart at their regularly scheduled times, even when Skyline has an assembly or alternate schedule.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n\n District transportation is available between Skyline and GTI. Students board the bus at the roundabout on the east side of Skyline near the football field.<\/p>\n\n If you miss the bus and are unable to arrange transportation to GTI, you must report to the Career Center<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n Students who choose to drive themselves to an off-campus class must meet the following requirements:<\/p>\n\n Students enrolled in GTI or another off-campus class must have a street pass<\/strong> authorizing them to leave Skyline during their scheduled off-campus class time.<\/p>\n\n Street passes are distributed through the Career Center at the beginning of the school year. Your pass will indicate your approved release time.<\/p>\n\n If you drop your off-campus class, you must return your street pass to the Career Center.<\/p>\n\n Lost your street pass?<\/strong> Replacement passes cost $3.00. Pay the fee at the cashier and bring your receipt to the Career Center to receive a replacement.<\/p>\n\n Attendance expectations for GTI and other off-campus programs are the same as classes taught at Skyline.
