Emphasis is placed on\u00a0<span style=\"line-height: 1.5em\">attaining greater vocal maturity through the application of correct principles of voice production, breath control, and proper diction. This class is available to all grades but recommended more for sophomores.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Dance<\/h2>\n<p>2014-2015 DANCE COMPANY AUDITIONS! March 10, 11, 12 &amp; 13, 2014. In the Dance room and main gym at 3:00 Pm -5:00 Pm. You must be attending Skyline in the 14-15 school year to audition have a 3.0 GPA to audition. Audition packets will be available in the SHS main office at the beginning of March. Skyline&#8217;s Dance Department Spring Dance Concert will be May 1-2, 2014 at 7:00 Pm in the SHS Auditorium. Tickets are $3 for students and $5 for adults. The Dance Company and Dance classes are collaborating with the SHS Music department to bring you a night of &#8220;live&#8221; performance. We hope to see you there!<\/p>\n<h2>Highlites<\/h2>\n<p>This exclusive female group is available to all grades. It emphasizes barbershop harmony. Members must be able to demonstrate exceptional vocal and musical skills. Opportunities for performances are many. Students MUST be committed to be present for all rehearsals and scheduled performances. Highlites may participate each year in the music tour.<\/p>\n<h2>Madrigals<\/h2>\n<p>This is a small group (generally not more than twenty-four) of selected juniors and seniors who sing a wide variety of music. Madrigals involves greater precision and alertness in every musical style. Opportunities for performances are many. Students MUST be committed to be present for all rehearsals and performances. Members of madrigals must also register for Concert Choir. Madrigals may participate each year in the music tour.<\/p>\n<h2><\/h2>\n<h2>Theatre and Film<\/h2>\n<div>Under the direction of Maestro B Rogan, Skyline Drama is one of the busiest programs in the school. Classes include introductory film making, and all levels of theatre (including IB). But, don&#8217;t forget to participate in the wide array of extra-curricular activities! With two major productions, monthly improv events, monthly poetry slams, a 48-hour new play festival, theatre competitions, and numerous student produced events, there is always something to do!
