We are excited for school to begin tomorrow, August 16th at 8:35 am for 1st-6th grades. School dismisses at 3:20 pm on regular days and 1:15 pm on early out days.

Tuesday, August 1st is our Registration Day. Come and update your students information, apply for free/reduced lunch, and learn about and sign-up for PTA (Parent Teacher Association) and SCC (School Community Council). We will have books, cookies, and some clothing items available while supplies last.

*For New Students: Please bring the students birth certificate and proof of immunizations. You will also need two proofs of address such as a utility bill, cell phone, or bank statement and a photo ID.

*Nothing is needed for returning students.

Stansbury’s Main Office will be open Tuesday-Thursday each week from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. You may email Mrs. Trujillo, principal, if you have a question outside of these hours at mtrujillo@graniteschools.org.

We will be registering new students and incoming Kindergarten students throughout the summer. (Kindergarten students must be five by September 1.)

Back to school registration for the 2023-2024 school year will be the first week of August. More info to come.

USBE School Climate Survey

Parental Notification/Opt-out Form – Utah State Board of Education School Climate Survey:  Elementary

The School Climate Survey: Elementary is a confidential survey used to identify school climate issues within our school.  The survey for elementary school students includes 20 questions and should take no more than six minutes to complete.

The survey is confidential, but parents/guardians are given the option to opt out if desired.  The data collected from the survey will be used to identify student perceptions of school climate issues within our school.

Our desire is to involve parents in their children’s education. If you do not wish for your child to participate in this important activity, please sign and return this form to the school by April 10, 2023.

Aviso a los Padres/Formulario de exclusión – Junta de Educación del Estado de Utah Ambiente Escolar:  Educación Básica.

Encuesta sobre el Ambiente Escolar: Elementary.  Se trata de una encuesta confidencial usada para identificar los problemas del ambiente escolar en nuestros establecimientos.  La encuesta para los estudiantes de la escuela básica incluye 20 preguntas y debería tomar no mas de seis minutos para responderlas.

La encuesta es confidencial, pero los padres/turores tienen la opción de excluirse, si así lo desean. La información recogida de la encuesta, será usada para identificar las percepciones de los estudiantes sobre los problemas del ambiente escolar en nuestra escuela.  

Nuestro deseo es de involucrar a los padres en la educación de sus hijos.  Si usted no desea que su niño participe en esta importante actividad, por favor firme este formulario y hágalo llegar a la escuela hasta el 10 de Abril 2023.

We would like to make sure that you are aware of our expectations for the chilly time of the school year.  Students should be dressed and prepared for the cold weather with the following items; warm coats, sweaters/ hoodies, boots, hats, scarves, mittens/gloves etc.  Please make sure that these items are marked, in case they are misplaced or lost.  Students should come prepared to go outside, get some fresh air, and exercise outdoors, on a daily basis.  If students are not well enough to go outside, please keep them home until they are feeling better.  The exceptions to going out daily, are listed below: 

 Morning:

  • Inside morning in the gym, IF there is significant rain fall or snow fall. (IF students will be getting wet, outside.)
  • Inside morning in the gym, IF the temperature is below 20 degrees.
  • Students sitting on their pockets, no running around, playing sports etc.
  • Inside mornings are from 8:20-8:35 to ensure our outside duty teachers are in the gym to help supervise.

Recess:

  • Teacher/Grade Level Discretion
  • Inside recess IF the temperature is below 20 degrees. Recess time held inside the classroom.

Lunch Recess:

  • Admin/Office Discretion
  • Inside lunch recess IF there is significant rain fall or snow fall (If students will be getting wet, outside), recess time held inside the classroom.
  • Inside lunch recess IF the temperature is below 20 degrees, recess time held inside the classroom.

Stansbury Families, 

Happy October! Thank you so very much for your continued support with our morning drop-off in our parking lot. We appreciate you parking in a stall and walking your child to their class. This has been a big help in keeping the cars moving and everyone safe. 

Our Fall Recess is this week. Wednesday, October 12 will be an early out day and students will be dismissed at 1:15 pm. Thursday and Friday, October 13 and 14 are Fall Recess days and there is no school those days. Enjoy your fall break! There is also no school for students on Monday, October 17. 

The end of first quarter will be on Friday, October 28th and there will be no school for students on this day. Students will return on Monday, October 31st (no costumes this day). 

Halloween- 

  • We will celebrate Halloween this year on Thursday, October 27th. (This is the only day students may wear costumes to school.) We will be holding an outdoor parade at 9:30 am for those families wishing to attend. Please bring your own chairs if you’d like to sit along the student parade route at the back of our school. Please know that parents will not be allowed in the building before or after the parade as we are still following the Covid safety guidelines.
  • Please send your student to school in their costume. Please send additional clothes if they would like to change after the parade. 
  • Full face-masks for costumes will not be allowed. Masks to protect from Covid and strongly recommended.  
  • Weapons that go along with costumes will not be allowed. 
  • Please make sure that your child’s costume is school appropriate. They will be asked to change if the costume is not appropriate. 

Our next Community Council and PTA meeting will be held on Monday, November 14th at 8:45 am. Please join us either in-person. We appreciate parent participation in helping our students achieve their goals.
