Course Selection and Class Changes

2022-2023 Course Selection

Students will select courses for the upcoming school year on the 2022-2023 Course Selection page.

2021-2022 Course Catalog

The course catalog provides parents and students a with detailed explanation of the courses available to Taylorsville High students. It explains necessary prerequisites, grade level requirements, Concurrent and AP information, citizenship and graduation requirements, and other special programs available at Taylorsville High School. Students and their parents/legal guardians are encouraged to review the course catalog as they choose classes throughout their three years in high school.

2021-2022 Class Change Request

There will be no class changes made at this time.

Class Change Policy

For the first 4 days of the semester, we will only complete essential schedule changes. An essential schedule change is defined as any change that corrects level placement or fills a hole in a student’s schedule. Students who need an essential schedule change may email their counselor or come to the Counseling Center during the period that needs to be corrected or filled.

Taylorsville Schedule Change Policy

Teacher Change Policy

Students who would like to request a teacher change must meet with their counselor and complete the Teacher Change Request Form (provided by the counselor). The first step in the process is for the student and parent to contact the teacher to try to resolve the concern.

Granite Technical Institute (GTI)

Students who wish to take a GTI class must obtain an application from the Career Center or print out the GTI Application. It must be completed and signed by parent/legal guardian and returned to the Career Center before they can register for GTI classes.

GTI course descriptions and the quick glance of what is offered can viewed on the Granite Technical Institute website.
