About Mark Ellermeier

Mr. Ellermeier spent nine years teaching Health and Physical Education at West Lake Junior High in North Carolina and Mapleton Junior High in Utah. His journey into administration began with seven years as an Assistant Principal at Kearns Junior High, Hunter High, and Skyline High School.

For the past decade, he has served as a Junior High Principal—eight years at Eisenhower Junior High School and the last two at Kearns Junior High School. His focus has been on creating an environment where every student feels both supported and challenged.

Outside of school, he is a proud parent of six children, ages 14 to 26, and a grandparent to a wonderful grandson. He enjoys spending time with his family and engaging in outdoor activities. He grew up in Bremerton, Washington, and earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Washington and completed a Master’s degree at North Carolina State University.
