Run Updates! <\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Click the “More\/Etc.” button at the top by your name.  (The 3 dots)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Go to Help –> About Google Chrome<\/strong>. 
That will either give you instructions OR auto update*.  
– Click “Update” if needed. 
\u200b- Go to Chrome OS for updates (if directed to)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Restart.
Do NOT close the lid. 
Click on Shut down
Then turn it back on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Slow, Or Crashing device?<\/strong> Remove extensions<\/strong>.\n
      \n
    1. Click the puzzle piece at the top right.  Remove any NON-school extensions. (Games mostly some can cause issues – not all.)<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Slow? Clear the cache<\/strong> – Go to 3 dots. Settings. Search for Cache. Clear the cache.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. If it wont start, Reset your battery –<\/strong> Hold the refresh button and push and release the power button.  The battery light should blink and it will start.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    4. Reload user policies<\/strong>.  Go here – chrome:\/\/policy\/ (TYPE IT IN) <\/strong><\/em>and click on “Reload Policies”<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    5. PowerWash your Chromebook<\/strong> using the PowerWash guide (Google Document)<\/a> or the PowerWash guide (PDF)<\/a>. This fixes most problems but may NOT update the software.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    6. Reset all your data<\/strong>. Type or go to chrome.google.com\/sync<\/a>, then scroll down and click on “Clear Data”.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    7. Trouble connecting to your home Wi-Fi? Forget your home network and try connecting again.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
