This week I’m reading Goodnight Butterfly, by Ross Burach to grades K-2. This is a companion book to The Very Impatient Caterpillar, which won the Beehive Book award a few years ago. It’s one of our student’s favorite books and always checked out! This time, Butterfly learns what “nocturnal” means from his friend Porcupine, and decides he wants to be nocturnal too. This drives Porcupine crazy! But he helps Butterfly find his inner calm and finally fall asleep. This is an awesome book for any kids who find they get a burst of energy at night and need a way to find their inner calm!
