Fall Break for students is October 15th-20th. The last day of the first quarter is October 14th, and that is an early release day. Students return to start the second quarter on October 21st. <strong>First quarter report cards will be available to view in your FOCUS parent portal starting on October 21st.<\/strong> We will not be sending physical report cards home.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Orchestra at Upland is starting!<\/strong> You can still register your student by viewing the attached flyer.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Save the date for Skyline Network Night on October 22<\/strong><sup><strong>nd<\/strong><\/sup><strong>&nbsp;from 5:30-7:30.<\/strong> View the attached flyer for more information. If your student is in our school&#8217;s musical, they will be performing at our Network Night (schedule to come).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>3rd-5th grade parents<\/strong>, the time is coming for gifted testing. If you would like your student gifted tested, please email Ms. Anderson at Lmanderson@graniteschools.org and let me know. I will get them added to our testing list and students will take their tests on November 2<sup>nd<\/sup>&nbsp;and 3rd. If you have a 5<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;grader and want them in gifted classes in junior high, you need to gifted test them this year.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>PTA Information<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">-The PTA Newsletter went home with students this week. Check their backpacks!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">-This month&#8217;s general PTA meeting is on October 8<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;at 9:30 in the PTA room<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">-All students, not just ones in the musical, can participate in the art contest for the musical.
