Valley Jr High is having a summer program. Click on the link below to watch the video for more information. If you have additional questions, address them to Jacob Ballentine, one of the school’s counselors.
Valley Jr High wants to recognize Diana Vo, an eighth grader, for taking first in the Cesar Chavez Contest. The contest, run by Granite School District, invites students between 7-12th grade to create an art piece that addresses the year’s theme. The theme for this year was “Women of the Movement. How are women standing up for Social Justice?” Diana Vo took the grand prize for her art work and Valley is very proud of her. Nice job, Diana!
Valley Jr High is having its 70th birthday! This is a monumental occasion and Valley would like to celebrate with its students – both current and former! This will be a great opportunity for the whole community to come together. The celebration will be on May 4th, 2019 from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. Come one and come all!
Happy 70th Birthday Valley
Valley junior High’s MESA (Mathematics, Engineering, Science Achievement) club got to go to The University of Utah to tour the campus to see the Laboratories there. The students got to tour an Astronomy Lab, Biological Physics lab, superconductivity Lab, and a tour of the campus to see what life as a science student at the university is like! See what other clubs Valley has to offer if you want your student to participate in after school activities like MESA.
Please join the Granite School District on January 24th from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the Granite Technical Institute for an open house concerning CTE. This will be a chance for students to discover what opportunities are available to help them advance in their career and technical training. The open house will have information about colleges and industry experts to provide insight and advice to those seeking CTE-related careers. Click on this link to the flyer to find the location and learn more about the event. Hope to see you there!
Parents and students,
Class of 2023, we are thrilled to welcome you back for the 2018-2019 school year. We are especially excited to welcome the Class of 2024! You are the first to enjoy our newly remodeled school. The first thing you’ll notice as you walk in the building is how light it is! We have new lights which have increased the brightness considerably! We re-painted the lockers a light grey which helps make the hallways feel spacious. Classrooms have brand new furniture, new technology, new carpets, and a new electrical system to assist in our one-to-one chromebook initiative. Please be patient with us as the last finishing touches are added.
You may have noticed construction continuing in front of the building. This is going to become a second drop off area for parents. We anticipate that it will be finished by the end of October.
Ligers, if there is anything you need, please don’t hesitate to contact us! This will be a great year-
