Council reviewed and accepted the Safe Walking Route on the SNAP website.
The Trust Land Plan was reviewed and approved by the Council unanimously.
The schedule of the year end testing which began in February was reviewed. It would be beneficial if the Legislators and Representatives were contacted to inform them that the “year end testing” is beginning in February…not at the end of the year.
There is an opt out option for the testing is available at parent request. There are some misunderstanding regarding the common core and the testing.

Two new teachers were hired to fill the vacancies.
Ann Kane will be the new assistant principal next year.
Feedback regarding the tutoring from YMCA in the morning is better two days rather than four days. The duration of the tutoring at this point is from October to May. It was suggested that the time period be shortened to facilitate assessment and parent decision to see if the student still wants to participate. Also, encourage some activity that is more active yet still a learning environment. Wilenys attended to see how the YMCA can support the Community Council and the activities in the school. They would be able to assist with Teacher Appreciation & Field Day.
