Our first day of school, Monday, August 21st, coincides with a solar eclipse that will be visible throughout the country. Salt Lake will experience about 90 percent of a total eclipse. Vista will be participating in this exciting and rare event. Our wonderful PTA has purchased safety glasses for all students and staff to observe the eclipse. Classes will be doing activities and lessons relevant to the solar eclipse and that tie in with our Science Core Standards. Please be reassured that safety precautions will be discussed and taken during this special event.
