Dear Vista Elementary Staff, Students, and Families,
Earlier this evening the Salt Lake County Health Department identified potential exposure of COVID-19 at Vista Elementary. Thereafter, they have directed us as follows:
- Vista Elementary staff, students, should quarantine at home until March 27, 2020 and monitor themselves for symptoms throughout that time. Symptoms of COVID-19 include cough, fever over 100° F, and shortness of breath.
- The current student dismissal and distance instruction will continue to the degree possible as teachers will be working from home and will NOT have access to the building.
- We urge the Vista Elementary community to take the recommendations from the Health Department very seriously; we must ALL do our best to reduce potential spread.
Please watch for further calls, emails, etc. In the meantime, if you have any health related questions, or questions regarding Health Department recommendations, we urge you to contact the Utah COVID-19 Information Line at 1-800-456-7707. You may also visit the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention at cdc.gov/covid19 or SaltLakeHealth.org.
Sincerely,
Granite School District
