The following PTO Board Positions are open for the 2020-2021 school year. We are taking submissions until May 22nd. Please email your submissions to vistapto@gmail.com, and remember that any parent, grandparent, teacher, member of the community or Vista school employee can apply. We are also offering training in these positions as needed. The school needs YOU!
President:
Responsible for setting agendas for all Board Meetings, Committee Chair Meetings, Special & General PTO Meetings. Supervise, direct, and coordinate work of the PTO. Work directly with the principal to maintain a supportive relationship between the school and the PTO act as a spokesperson for the PTO. Should possess strong leadership, communication, and management skills. Must be helpful, promote fundraising, event production and public speaking. All board members collectively “liaison” the PTO committees to provide support and leadership. Basic computer skills important.
Vice President:
Responsible for assisting the PTO President and other board members to ensure all PTO events are successful. This includes assisting with the brainstorming, planning and operation of PTO related activities.

Assist in creating individual event volunteer lists. This ensures that every volunteer that has signed up to help in PTO, events are called when the event arises. Basic computer skills important.
Secretary:
Responsible for recording minutes of PTO Board, committee, general meetings as well as recording voting and makes minutes accessible when needed for record keeping. Secretary also responsible for various duties as asked by board such as making calls for committee members, helping with administrative tasks of board and committees, and sending out meeting notices.
