Message from the Principal

Please join use for Parent Teacher conferences! This is a great opportunity to discuss your child’s growth, ask questions, and work together for their continued success.

Fees for first semester elective classes have been added to student accounts. To make payment on your students account, login to your Focus Portal and select purchase and pay.

Payment can also be made in the front office or over the phone by calling the Financial Secretary at 385-646-3701. The deadline for fee waiver applications is September 26, 2025.

Counseling Corner

This year, the counseling team is focusing our school-wide lessons on building connections. Our kick-off lesson will be on September 17th. Be sure to ask your students what they learned about connecting with others.

Eight Grade College and Career Readiness Meetings

Each year counselors meet one-on-one with each of our gth grade students and their parents to plan for high school and beyond. Each 8th grader will be asked to watch a series of short videos and fill out a brief Google form prior to their meeting. The videos, Google forms and appointment scheduler will be accessed through an assignment in their CCA class.

Appointments will begin Monday, September 15th, with several slots available during the evenings of Parent Teacher Conferences

Parent / Teacher Conference

Helpful Guide for a successful Night!

  • Print your child’s schedule with room numbers and/or bring your child with you.
  • Visit the teachers you want to visit – It is totally up to you.
o If there is another parent/family in the room, have a seat in the chairs that are in the hallway and wait
    for your turn.
  • Sometimes lines are long. You can always come back Tuesday night if you don’t see the teachers) you need to on Monday.
  • Conferences are limited to 5-8 minutes so we can visit with as many families as possible. Each teacher has approximately 200 students they see each day.
  • Some of our teachers work part time. This is their schedule for PTC Night:
  • Mr. Quah: 9/15 4-6:45pm. 9/16 4-6pm
  • Mrs. Whiting: 9/15 4-6:45pm. 9/16 4-6pm
  • Mrs. Diaz: 9/15 4-6:45pm. 9/16 4-6pm
  • Mrs. Thompson: 9/15 4-6:45pm.
  • Mrs. Naderi 9/15 4-6:45. 9/16 4-6:45
  • We will have a Boo to the Flu clinic on 9/15. This is a great opportunity

Positive Behavior Weekly Goal

Wasatch teachers and students are focusing on becoming “Better Together” by learning about respect. During first quarter we are learning about ways that students can show respect to teachers. Please discuss the weekly goal with your student to support our focus for the year.

Next week our goal is:

Students show respect to teachers by sitting in their seats, ready to learn when the bell rings.
