CHANGES for Joining the PTA! We are excited for the upcoming academic year. Things all around us are adapting and that is true of the PTA as well. The PTA has a new online store where you can join the PTA, purchase school logo wear, make donations, and sign-up to volunteer. If you missed the PTA table at registration check out this new sight and support the PTSA: http://wasatchjr.new.memberhub.store . School fees submitted through the webstore are separate and not part of the PTA.
Why join the PTA? The PTA is our school’s parent-teacher-student organization that provides funds and volunteers for many fun extra-curricular activities such as Reality Town, Book Fair, Spelling Bee, the school play, Teacher Appreciation Week, 8th Grade celebrations. Additionally, the PTA supports student growth through activities and student government and participates in advocating for education to our legislatures. Join today and be part of a great organization.
We’re excited to announce Intramural Fall Sports at Wasatch Junior High! Cross Country for boys and girls is coached by Mr. Petersen and will run from Monday, September 14th to Thursday October 29th. Girls’ Soccer is coached by Ms. Badger and runs the same dates. Boys’ soccer will be postponed until the Spring to account for limited room on the field, and Mr. Sorensen is looking forward to a great season!
All sports are intramural and depending on how many students want to be involved, practices will be staggered throughout the week, but practices will be available Monday-Thursday. Your awesome athletic team is working on digitizing the paperwork and creating a schedule so that we can all have fun, stay safe, and get our Fall Sports on! Announcements will be made next week about how to sign up. Remember, distance learning students can participate too. We’ll see you there, and go Warriors!
