Westbrook’s fourth graders dressed up like pioneers and treated their parents to a lively musical history lesson on May 16th. The students also showed off their newly acquired skills with the recorder. When they presented their program to the student body earlier in the week, many of the older children remembered the songs and sang along with them.
At one point near the end, the fourth graders invited the audience to sing Utah’s State song, “Utah, This is the Place.” After the program, students and parents had a little old fashioned fun dancing the Virginia Reel.
Thank you, Mrs. Hargrove, for directing the program and thanks to Mrs. Glad and Miss Carter for their work behind the scenes with audio and video.
