We are pleased to announce that school breakfast and lunch will now be available at no charge to all students enrolled in Granite School District. This is because of a temporary waiver released by the USDA on September 1, 2020.
Starting September 14, 2020 through December 31, 2020 or until federal funding runs out, all Granite schools will be operating as ‘Restrictive Open’ summer sites. These sites are open only to students (both in person and distance learners) enrolled in the schools on days that follow the Granite School District calendar.
Distance learners: Parents must bring their student(s) and/or a lunch scan card to pick up meals. If they have lost their card, they can provide first and last name and student number. Distance learners please contact individual schools for designated pickup times. Masks are required.
There is no guarantee to the length of this waiver. As such, we are encouraging parents to continue applying for free and reduced meal eligibility, so they do not experience a lapse in benefits upon termination of the waiver.
All schools will be offering meals on Fridays from 10:30-11:30. Breakfast and lunch will be combined for pick up.
