While we know no one wants to think about school quite yet, we wanted to share a few important dates and reminders to help you get ready for another fantastic year at West Lake.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Important Dates<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>July 31st<\/strong>\u2013 <strong>Registration opens online<\/strong>&#8211; You do NOT need to come into the school. Complete all of your registration through the <a href=\"https:\/\/graniteschools.focusschoolsoftware.com\/\"><u>Parent Portal.<\/u><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>August 11th from 5:00-7:00 PM &#8211; Saddle Up For School<\/strong>\u2013 This is similar to a Back to School Night and will only be for 6th graders (or new 7th &amp; 8th graders to West Lake). We will have an immunization clinic available during that time if you need updated junior high immunizations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>August 12th<\/strong>\u2013 <strong>First Day of School<\/strong> &#8211; We will have your schedule printed out for you when you get here. See you at 7:45 A.M. \ud83d\ude42<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>September 16th &amp; 17th &#8211; Mustang Roundup<\/strong> &#8211; This is our first round of Parent Teacher Conferences. Can&#8217;t wait to see you there!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As you&#8217;re getting ready for the new school year, please remember to review our <a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/165ZnQAEwuYQyu0tbRl4pEN0L-p4w4l10\/view\">2026-2027 Student Handbook (PDF)<\/a>. We want all students to start the year focused on learning and feeling comfortable in a positive school environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One important reminder: <strong>Do NOT purchase a backpack for school.<\/strong> At West Lake, students use a school-issued binder to stay organized, and every student will receive one on the first day. You will not be allowed to bring in a bag or backpack.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We are excited to welcome both our returning and new Mustangs and can&#8217;t wait to see you soon. If you do not live within our boundaries, and want to attend West Lake, you must fill out an Open Enrollment application (below). We will provide more details about registration as it gets closer to July 31st. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you haven&#8217;t seen it&#8230; check it out!
