Within our community there are many diverse cultures, languages, and students with special needs. We encourage parents and guardians to participate as school volunteers, in PTA and the Community Council.<\/p>\n<p>It is the intent that our communication with parents, such as materials or flyers, will be written in an understandable and uniform format and, to the extent practical, provided in a language that is understandable. If anyone would like clarification, interpretation, or additional support, please contact the office at 385-646-5102. Each parent or guardian is highly encouraged to work directly with the teacher of the child to resolve any concerns.<\/p>\n<p>A school-parent compact has been developed by the Woodrow Wilson Community Council, PTA, and staff. A copy is available on our website or by contacting the office staff. This plan is data-driven, evidence-based, and responsive to findings from data reviews, needs assessment findings, and stakeholder input. The school comprehensive Title I plan articulates how evidence-based strategies, action steps and milestones will support the goals listed below.<\/p><p><a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/spreadsheets\/d\/1ERSxjOqpXJwi4z0NRlwgAAMtqWEOrQbVUzyYF__Zw1U\/edit?usp=sharing\">Current School Plan (Google Sheet)<\/a><\/p><h3>Academic Goal(s)<\/h3><ul>\n<li>Compared to schoolwide performance in 2026, students\\&#8217; average ELA proficiency will increase by 3% on Summative Assessments. For grades 3-5, this goal will be met by reaching at least 28% proficiency on ELA RISE. For grades K-3, this goal will be met when at least 55% of students reach benchmark or above on the End of Year Acadience Reading Assessment.<\/li>\n<li>Compared to schoolwide performance in 2026, students\\&#8217; average Math proficiency on Summative Assessments will increase by 3%. For grades 3-5, this goal will be met by reaching at least 26% proficiency on Math RISE. For grades K-3, this goal will be met when at least 55% of students reach the benchmark or above on the End-of-Year Acadience Math Assessment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Social Skills and Dispositions Goal(s)<\/h3><ul>\n<li>By the end of the 2026\u20132027 school year, the school will achieve an average daily attendance rate of at least 92% and reduce the number of students identified as chronically absent to 90 or fewer. This will be accomplished through consistent attendance monitoring, proactive family engagement, incentive programs, and targeted interventions for at-risk students.<\/li>\n<li>Students\u2019 Sense of Belonging: By the end of the 2026-2027 school year, the percentage of students will report that they are valued members of the school community will increase by 3%.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Talent Development Goal(s)<\/h3><ul>\n<li>Each grade level will participate in a coaching cycle each quarter\u2014including pre-coaching conversations, coaching events, and debriefs\u2014that directly align with our school\u2019s CIP goals. To measure impact, admin and coaches will track data on opportunities to respond from the beginning to the end of the year.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<a class=\"button\" href=\"#links\">Back to Index<\/a><h2 id=\"sanctioned-status\">Sanctioned Status<\/h2><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Dear Parent or Guardian,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">We are writing to let you know that Woodrow Wilson Elementary <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">School has been designated as an Additional Targeted Support and Improvement (ATSI) school for<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Asian Students and Black\/African American Students. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This designation means that this student population scores among the lowest-performing five percent in Utah\u2019s Title I schools in academic performance and growth.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The program improvement designation provides an opportunity for principals, teachers, and parents to focus on areas of school improvement.
