Hello parents and families. The time is getting closer — the time to send your students back to school. As I have said many times before, my goal is that all Woodstock students will feel safe, happy, and ready to learn. In this e-mail, I will be focusing on safety – specifically during drop off and pick up times.
Unless you’re brand new to Woodstock, you know that our parking lot size is limited. But recent surveys showed that 85% of our students are driven to school by a parent. That means approximately 360 students are being dropped off and picked up in cars. I wanted to find a way for the process to be efficient but more importantly, to be safe for the kids. I worked closely with the Community Council, PTA, teachers, and staff to create a new Traffic Safety plan. Use the link below to watch an animation of the new traffic pattern. There are written materials attached as well. If you have any questions or comments, please do not hesitate to call or e-mail me. Thank you in advance for your support.
