About Melissa McQueen

With a passion for educational excellence and a dedication to fostering positive changes in the school environment, Melissa McQueen serves as the Principal at Woodstock Elementary. Leveraging her extensive experience as an Instructional Leader and Administrator, she brings a detail-oriented approach, creativity, and a strong emphasis on building social-emotional relationships within the school community. Her qualifications include certifications in Mandt, CERT, CPR, and LETRS, as well as roles as an Instructional Coach, Intern Coach, Mentor, and Administrative Intern at Magna Elementary. She is also a graduate of the Emerging Leadership Academy and serves as a Summer Workshop Professor for the University of Utah.
She has successfully taught and mentored students across multiple grade levels, consistently achieving positive results. Her educational background includes an Associate of Arts from Salt Lake Community College, a bachelor’s degree in education from Westminster College, a Master of Education and Distance Learning Endorsement from Westminster College, and an Administrative Certification from Utah State University.

Bus Information

Track Your Bus from Your Smartphone

If you’re interested in obtaining a bus schedule, you need to contact the school or by using the Here Comes The Bus application.

Parents and students can now track their Granite School District bus on the Here Comes the Bus app, available on The App Store and Google Play.

This app shows the real-time location of your bus on a map, gives scheduled and actual arrival times for both home and school routes, and provides push and email notifications when the bus is near.

Here’s how to sign up:

  1. Download the Here Comes the Bus app from The App Store or Google Play.
  2. Tap Sign Up, then tap Continue.
  3. Tap I have the Code.
  4. Enter your email address, first name, last name, and school district code (29318). Accept the Terms and Conditions and tap Continue.
  5. Tap Confirm if Granite School District is displayed.
  6. Create your password.
  7. If successful, you will see a Thank You screen. From here, check your email inbox for a message from noreply@synovia.com. Open the email and click Activate My Account. Once completed, close the browser link. You may now open the app and sign in with your email address and newly created password.

Adding a Student:

  1. Once you’re signed in, tap the Student icon.
  2. Tap the Add Student button and enter their last name and student ID. Tap Submit.
  3. Repeat this process for additional students.
