Although this 1906 building became a permanent fixture, the school\u2019s origins date back to the 1880s, when the original Woodstock facility stood across the street, serving students from kindergarten through eighth grade.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Literary Roots:<\/strong> The school received its name from Sir Walter Scott\u2019s historical novel, <em>Woodstock<\/em>.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Mid to Late 20th Century: Community Anchor<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Granite School District:<\/strong> Located in the southeast corner of the district, Woodstock became a key elementary facility feeding into Bonneville Junior High and Cottonwood High School.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Bicentennial Celebration:<\/strong> In 1976, local historian Eva Joan Northrup compiled <em>&#8220;Woodstock Memories 1906\u20131976&#8221;<\/em> to commemorate the nation&#8217;s bicentennial and preserve 70 years of the school&#8217;s heritage.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>21st Century &amp; Present Day: Innovation &amp; Modern Learning<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Advanced Learning Center (ALC):<\/strong> Woodstock hosts an ALC program for gifted and talented students in grades 1 through 5, drawing learners from across the region.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Technology &amp; STEAM:<\/strong> The current facility features a 1:1 student-to-device ratio, LCD projectors, and interactive sound systems in classrooms, alongside robust STEAM activities like chess clubs, band, and orchestra.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Academic Standing:<\/strong> Woodstock continues to rank high academically statewide, serving over 500 students from preschool through 5th grade with strong community involvement and high parent engagement.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Legacy of Academic Achievement:  <\/strong>For more than a century, Woodstock Elementary has served as a landmark of learning within our rapidly growing community.
