This is the time of year we reflect on the things we are thankful for in our lives.
I, for one, am thankful for our children. I love their innocent wisdom. A student once asked me how old I was—and before I could give my standard answer of “487”, another student shushed the first one and said, “You don’t ask old people how old they are!” I am thankful I get the opportunity to smile every day at words of wisdom from our children.
Our Community Council meetings have been moved to the first Monday of the month at 4:15. We meet in the media center, and all are invited to attend. We will be discussing our budget and how it has impacted student learning. Please let your voice be heard.
Also, PTA meets the first Monday of the month at 9:15 in the PTA room. All are welcomed to attend this meeting also. Our PTA is amazing. They help our school in many ways. Please, attend and get better acquainted with other parents.
We will have our traditional Veteran’s Day Program on November 11th at 9:30 am. Please invite someone you know and enjoy the festivities.
Our Literacy Night is scheduled on November 21st from 5:30-6:30 pm. There will be games and prizes. We hope to see you there!
Jon Pardi wrote, “I’m just thankful I’m surrounded by good people.” I understand. I am surrounded by great people and I am blessed.
Please remember my door is always open – stop in and see me.
I hope you have a wonderfully blessed month.
