A few days ago, I was talking with 5th grade students as they lined up from recess. I couldn’t help but notice how the students had grown. I asked a few students what they were eating to make them get so tall. I told them I wanted to eat the same food to grow tall too. The students looked at me with compassion and said,
“Mrs. Reather, it’s not what we eat. Our height is genetic—my mom is tall, and my dad is tall, so I will probably be tall too.”
We have several fun activities planned this month:
Dec. 9: 6:00 pm Winterfest at Cyprus High School (3rd grade performing)
Dec. 10: 10:45 am Mrs. Bayles’ class Dance Recital 11:40 am Mrs. Bressler’s class Dance Recital
Dec. 17 4:30 pm Parent Ski meeting (4th grade students) Gym
Dec. 19 2:00 pm Christmas Parent Program
Our students are amazing and hard working.
Recently, twenty-two students were selected as Reflections winners in the Cyprus Council. Congratulations!
In addition, our Lego League team did a fabulous job at the CLN network competition. The Lego League students and their teachers have been spending Saturdays working on coding and robots for the competition. Their diligent work is paying off.
Several students are participating in the school play—and I am looking forward to March when we get to see the final production.
None of these programs would be possible without the wonderful support of our parents and teachers. I am blessed to be part of the Wright Community. Thank you for all you do! No act of kindness, however small, is ever wasted.
