November 15, 2024School Happenings

Utah Shakespeare Festival actors presented Shakespeare’s play Hamlet for the students at Decker Lake. The students had read the play in their English class so were ready to compare what they read with what they saw. After the play the students were able to aske questions of the actors comparing the differences the they saw in the play to what they read. Students surprised the actors with the things they noticed. Students also were able to ask questions of the actors such as how they got started in acting and why they decided to perform with this traveling group? Actors shared what life is like traveling with the group. The actors also provided workshops that students participated in to help them develop their inner actor.
