Western Hills Elementary is located at 5390 South Heath Avenue in Kearns. All students live within 1.5 miles and are able to walk to school. The school has 22 classrooms. A preschool is also offered to 3 and 4 years old and is housed in a relocatable.

Computers and Technology
All classrooms have audio/video enhancement and document cameras. The school operates two computer labs that feature SAGE Benchmark and SAGE End of Year testing, SuccessMaker Enterprise for practice in reading and math, Big Brainz for practicing math facts, Imagine Learning for English Language Learners and approved websites. Five upper-grade classes follow the eMINTS instructional model (enhancing Missouri’s Instructional Networked Teaching Strategies) to enhance active student engagement and achievement. All classrooms have a USB phone. Third thru sixth-graders use Utah Compose to improve writing skills with immediate feedback. Every teacher uses assigned time in the lab weekly. Parents can access student progress through GradeBook reports from the Granite web site and also communicate with their child’s teacher.
Students promoted from this school will attend Kearns Junior High and Kearns High Schools.
