If you need to excuse a student’s absence, send in a medical note, or have anything else attendance-related, please send an email to: wrightattendance@graniteschools.org.

Attendance plays a vital role in the success of students. Please have your child attend school on-time, on a regular basis.

Excusal notes (parent or medical) must be received within ten (10) school days following the return from an absence. The school may deny excusal notes that are received after that point in time. Only written excusals will be accepted. You may send a written note with your child to the front office or send an email to: wrightattendance@graniteschools.org (email method is preferred). In the note or email, please include: child’s name, teacher, reason for absence, and dates to be excused.

We cannot excuse absences by phone.

Please have your child arrive to school on-time. It is important for students to hear the beginning of the day instruction. Students need to be lined up at their grade level doors. If a student arrives after 9:05, they will need to check-in at the front office for a tardy slip.

We understand students will occasionally need to be checked out during the school day for appointments. The person checking the student out must be listed on the student contact list and show valid ID. If you need to update the listed contacts at any time, you will need to login to your Focus account to do so. Please allow extra time when checking out a student. They may be at recess, another classroom, etc. Please only check your student out when necessary. We want students to receive as much instruction time as possible.

Please pick up your student on-time after school. To ensure student safety, students need to be picked up at dismissal time.
