Neil Armstrong Academy was invited on a tour of the Granite Technical Institute (GTI) on Friday afternoon. The GTI provides an opportunity for Granite District high school students to pursue a multitude of different fields and to move seamlessly to further training and employment. The GTI accentuates a STEM philosophy of authentic, project-based learning where students learn through inquiry, collaborative work, and practitioner experiences. GTI students have had great success laying a foundation in fields that interest them such as aviation, biotechnology, agriculture, construction, culinary arts, information technology, animation, and much more.
Neil Armstrong Academy is looking forward to a strong partnership with the GTI as a facilitator for many of our own science, technology, engineering, and math pursuits as well as a vision to our students of what they might choose to be involved with during their high school experience.
