The time has come to register for the upcoming school year at Neil Armstrong Academy. Because this is the first year for our school, registration will look a little different than it will in future years. Ordinarily we will have kindergarten registration separate from the rest of the school. However, because all students are equally new this year, we will do a general registration for the whole school.
The registration event will be held on two days: Wednesday, April 17th from 2:00 – 6:00 PM in the multipurpose room at Valley Crest Elementary (5240 West 3100 South, WVC) and Thursday, April 18th from 2:00 – 6:00 PM in the lobby of the programs building (the tall one) at the GEC (2500 S. State St., SLC). Registration will take approximately twenty minutes per student.
When you register, you’ll need three things:
- A current utility bill or lease agreement establishing your proof of residence within the school boundaries (not required for those attending on open-enrollment permit)
- Birth certificate (not required for students currently in grades kindergarten through 5th at another Granite elementary school)
- Immunization records (not required for students currently in grades kindergarten through 5th at another Granite elementary school)
To use the special express lane at the registration event, fill out the online registration card(s) for your student(s) beforehand. The express lane should allow you to complete the registration process for you entire family in ten minutes or less.
If you are unable to attend either day of the Armstrong registration event or have other questions, please contact Aleshia Stutz (385-646-5284 or aastutz@graniteschools.org).
I look forward to meeting you at the registration. This will certainly be a special year for our new school, and I’m thrilled you’re a part of it.
