Armstrong teachers have been offered an extraordinary opportunity. The district TILT program (formerly known as eMINTS) which supplies a one-computer-to-two-students ratio in the classroom in exchange for the teachers participating in professional development on how to teach with the equipment has been offered to all the teacher at Neil Armstrong Academy. Consequently, we will begin our school with one iPad for every two students to use while in the classroom.
The first of the iPads began arriving last week. We had the district Instructional Technology department on hand to help get them up and running as they will be an important tool for this week’s registration events. We hope to move toward a one-to-one, device-to-student ratio in the future, and we could use support from individuals or organizations in pursuit of that goal as described on our Armstrong Wish List.
