The Armstrong STEM labs have been abustle this week with first grade students analyzing the growth of their individual plants. Building off a partnership with Red Butte Gardens, a couple first-grade teachers have brought 24-7 plant lights to the main-floor STEM lab and have helped many students take their first steps into agriculture. Each day, our young botanists can be found analyzing their plants and taking careful measurements for their science journals.
The study couldn’t be more timely as Armstrong prepares to open its 365-days-a-years greenhouse later this month.
