It’s a little later than we anticipated, but we’re prepared to open the Armstrong Volunteer Center on Monday, November 4th.
The Volunteer Center is a specialty room found just off the main library and is reserved for the terrific Armstrong volunteers. The room is enclosed which helps prevent little ones from wandering off while volunteers are engaged in cutting, stapling, collating, etc. And, with plenty of seating, this could be a great place to come with friends and enjoy many hours volunteering at Armstrong. We don’t even set a limit on the number of hours you can come!
With the launch of the Volunteer Center, we’re also prepared to launch a volunteer-work-order system. Teachers will be able to submit requests online which will then be printed and delivered to the volunteer center for the next available helpers. This means volunteers can come at nearly any time and always have a class to help.
Thank you to our great volunteers. We feel so lucky to be on the receiving end of the many hours you put in. It makes such a difference for the Armstrong students!
