Mr. Howe got ran over by a reindeer,
Walking home from Armstrong Christmas eve.
You can say there’s no such thing as Santa,
But as for me and 5th grade, we believe.
He’d been drinking too much root beer,
And we’d begged him not to go.
He forgot to bring his ipad,
And he staggered out the door into the snow.
When they found him Christmas morning,
At the scene of the attack.
He had hoof prints on his forehead,
And incriminating Claus marks on his back.
Mr. Howe got ran over by a reindeer,
Walking home from Armstrong Christmas eve.
You can say there’s no such thing as Santa,
But as for me and 5th grade, we believe.
Now we’re all so proud of our school,
We’ve been taking this so well.
Students reply on Edmodo,
Create Prezis, building legos to the bell.
It’s not Christmas without Mr. Howe.
All the school is dressed in black.
And we just can’t help but wonder:
Should we open up his gifts or send them back? (send them back!)

Walking home from Armstrong, Christmas eve.
You can say there’s no such thing as Santa,
But as for me and 5th grade, we believe.
Progress monitoring is done,
And Acuity is too.
All the ipads have been syncing,
apps for RAZ kids and IXL are all through.
I’ve warned all my friends and teachers.
“Better watch out for yourselves.”
They should never give a license,
To a man who drives a sleigh and plays with elves.
Mr. Howe got ran over by a reindeer,
Walking home from Armstrong Christmas eve.
You can say there’s no such thing as Santa,
But as for me and 5th grade, we believe.
