Starting in February, 2014, Armstrong Academy students can participate in the Armstrong Reading Blast Off. Students can select a book series of their choice from the list on the Armstrong website (it will populate throughout the month of January), get the corresponding bookmark for that book series from the library (or print it off from this website), and read the entire book series from beginning to end. For each book series students check off, they’ll earn a Blast-Off badge to wear on their lanyard or backpack. Students can collect as many badges as possible and have them roll over from school year to school year.
We announced the program on ABC News this week, and (already) students are biting at the bit to get started. However, to be ready to begin at the first of February, we’re in need of considerable volunteer help to prepare the book-bookmarks, print them, laminate them, cut them out, and to distribute them. If you’re able and willing, please contact Mrs. Rammell at: krammell@graniteschools.org. We thank you, in advance, for your assistance!
