Our Eagles continue to impress during the Armstrong Games. Last week students participated in their final DIBELS reading fluency benchmark of the year. For many students (kindergarten – third grade), their Olympic Goal and gold-medal opportunity were tied to setting a new personal best on this fluency check.
Boy, did they ever deliver?! As a whole, the percentage of Armstrong students reading on benchmark (the green level) increased from 67% to 75%. Additionally, those students requiring intensive support in reading (the red level) decreased from 19% to 13%. Best of all, approximately 90% of students either matched or set a personal best.
