We hope everyone had a fabulous winter break spent with family friends, friends, and other loved ones. We’re happy to see everyone has returned to Armstrong safely.
Sometime between when we left for the holiday break and when we returned, winter set in. We have snow on the ground, the temperatures are much colder, and the pavement is icy. With that dramatic shift in weather, we want to give a few reminders.
As decided by the Community Council, we maintain an “Outside Day” unless the temperature (with the wind chill) dips below 20 degrees or if it is excessively wet. That being said, we always accommodate individual students and families who need to stay inside by inviting them to walk around to the back of the school and come into the lunchroom where they may sit on the steps of the stage. Please help your students dress appropriately for a cold Utah winter.
Also, as good as Mr. Robinson is, he won’t be able to eliminate all snow and ice from the grounds at Armstrong (he’s close). Remind your students to stay off the ice and the snowbanks and to use caution when moving around. We ask that snow be left on the ground and snowballs, snow forts, and snowmen be saved for home.
