Last Friday, Armstrong students enjoyed another great Clash of Classes reward activity—the Paper Snowball Fight. Students who had earned enough points on their Personal Training Charts participated in a head-to-head competition with the neighboring classes on their grade level. Students fought to clear their own village of any snowballs and to fill the neighboring villages with as many as possible. Therefore, this was an event where the lowest score won. The competition was fierce, and you can see the results on this week’s ABC News.
Right after Spring break, students who qualify will participate in the next event: the Jump the Line Challenge. This event is the reward activity for the personal training chart due on April 1st. Students will not have a tracker over Spring Break, but they’ll receive a new one on the first Wednesday back. Students should work on their Personal Training Charts in preparation to set a personal best on their end-of-year testing in May. Students in the lower grades are working toward beating their Middle-of-Year (MOY) DIBELS score, and students in upper grades are working toward beating their last year SAGE scores.
Please remind your students often about their goals and help cheer them on during their personal training.
