Dear Future Kinder Parents,
Due to the unusual nature of the school dismissal and the health department restrictions in effect to battle the COVID 19 virus, it is not possible to do an in-person registration event for kindergarten. Accordingly, we are going to do virtual registration for Kindergarten at this time. To that end, we would invite you to scan or take a photograph of the documents listed below and send them to us in an email at aastutz@graniteschools.org. We would recommend encrypting that email if you possess the ability to do so. You may also choose to bring in the documents in person once the social distancing restrictions have been lifted. We will complete the registration process at that time. Please note that all students will need to undergo KEEP testing prior to being placed in a class. We will reach out to parents to schedule KEEP testing at that time. When you visit the school for KEEP testing, you will be asked to present a picture ID that matches registration documents to verify guardianship. (We can never be too careful when it comes to the safety of our students.)
In order to register your child, you will be required to fill out a registration card online
In addition to the registration card, the following items are required when registering your child:
- Proof of Residence: We must have a current utility bill (not phone), mortgage or lease agreement. If you are living with another family, we must have a notarized letter from the homeowner stating the homeowner’s name, address and the names of those living with them (form available in the school office if needed). IF YOU ARE ATTENDING ON SPECIAL PERMIT you will not need to submit this part.
- Child’s Original Birth Certificate: We will accept a photograph or scan of the original birth certificate. Hospital or church certificates are not valid for registration. If you do not have your child’s certified birth certificate, you may apply for one at:

http://health.utah.gov/vitalrecords/ - Immunizations: Please send a scan or photograph of your child’s original immunization card. Students may not start kindergarten if they are not properly immunized. See the attached document below for immunization requirements.
