We are so excited to have our next APTT night this coming Thursday, November 10, 2016. It will be from 6-7:15 PM. Come find out what your student is working on, play the games you will bring home and set a goal for your child’s progress. Thank you for being a part of our team and adding to our school’s success! We look forward to seeing you!

The Turnaround Team worked incredibly hard to have academic activities put together for all students throughout the school.

We had fabulous parents who came and participated in partner sharing activities, learned more about the data teachers are collecting and what the APTT nights are going to be like throughout the rest of the year!

We look forward to our next APTT meeting coming November 10th from 6-7:15 PM. Parents will be learning games that they will take home and be able to play with their students. The games are tied to the skills that each grade level is working on.

Bacchus Halloween Parade

We are excited to have our Halloween parade take place outside again this year.  The parade will start at approximately 9:15 a.m. on the north side playground. Parents will position themselves on either side of the walking track. You can bring chairs and blankets if you want. This will give everyone a front row view of the parade! However, because the parade will be taking place outside, please make sure that you and your child are dressed for the weather. (In the event of inclement weather, the parade will be cancelled.)  Students should wear their costumes to school and bring clothes to change into after the parade.  Also remember that no masks or weapons, real or look alike, are allowed for students or parents. Please contact your child’s teacher about other Halloween activities taking place in their classroom.

 

Next Community Council Meeting

                         Tuesday, November 1, 2016          

Meetings are held the first Tuesday of each month from 3:00 – 4:00  pm.

All parents are welcome to attend.

 

 

We will be continuing our monthly pledge assemblies this school year.  This will occur on the first Friday of each month from 9:05 to approximately 9:30 am.  Each month a different grade level will be featured.  In addition, students will be recognized for following the school’s positive behavior plan (ROARS).   A kick-off assembly was held the first week of school.  At that time, the staff rewarded students for following the school’s positive behavior plan (ROARS).  These students were recognized by leading the school in the Pledge and then given the opportunity to put their name on the 200 Club board.

This year we are continuing our Shining Star Luncheon.  Every Thursday during lunch, a student from each class is recognized by their teacher for displaying positive behavior and/ or academic success.  They are able to sit at a special table with the principal.  Students are given a reward and certificate for their accomplishment.  A star is then placed on the wall outside the office with their name on it. The following students have lots to smile about.
