Hello Diamond Ridge Rockets and Families!
We’re off to a great start to the 2014-2015 school year. Teachers and students are already hard at work setting up habits and expectations for the new year, and our rocket launch was a wonderful way to set class goals and remember that together we can make our dreams come true. If you haven’t seen the video of the launch, check it out on our school website or facebook page.
We have many exciting events coming up in October. These include:
- PTA Fundraiser
- Reflections Contest (entries due October 30th)
- Fall Recess (October 16th-17th)
- School Pictures (October 22nd)
- Monster Mash Dance (October 30th)
- End of First Term (October 31st)
On October 14th, our school will have a school-wide assembly titled “Don’t Stand By, Be an Ally”. We have a commitment here at Diamond Ridge that students will feel safe and secure at school, and no bullying is allowed. During the assembly, presenters will teach students how to bravely take care of themselves and others from bullying behavior. Unfortunately, we have had some instances of inappropriate behaviors on our school buses and as students are walking to and from school. Please talk to your students about safety on their way to and from school, and remind them that school rules and appropriate behavior is expected. We sincerely care about our students and want them to arrive at school happy and ready to learn.
Thank you for all that you do to support your children and their education. Diamond Ridge is an excellent school because of amazing families.
