School background

David Gourley Elementary was named after Superintendent David Gourley of Granite School District. Our school was dedicated in 1958.  In 2005, Gourley Elementary was designated as a Title I school. This has provided the training and additional staff to keep our test scores rising each year.

Enrollment

We have approximately 350 students.  Our school houses Kindergarten through Fifth Grade.  We do have a Preschool room in our building but that is handled through the Granite School District – Preschool Services (385) 646-4672.

Computers and Technology

Our school has 1 to 1 Chromebook technology in all Kindergarten through Fifth grade classrooms. All instructional classrooms have interactive whiteboards that teachers use to provide engaging and interactive instruction.

Student promotion

Students promoted from this school will attend Kearns Junior High or Kennedy Junior High.
