Happy Back to School Time Hartvigsen Families!
Summer seemed to race by, but I hope you were all able to have some time to relax and enjoy the warm weather.
A Big Welcome to our new students, families, and staff. We’ve had some changes and additions to our Hartvigsen staff and are excited to introduce the following new school staff:
Chris Hurzeler, Elementary Teacher. Chris joins us from Whittier, and we are excited to have his fun and positive personality here with us.
Rachelle Weston, Secondary Teacher. Rachelle has actually worked at Hartvigsen for 20+ years as an amazing Para educator but recently graduated with her teaching degree and was hired to work in our secondary classes.
Izek Bills, Secondary Teacher. Izek was a para educator years ago at Hartvigsen and has recently returned to teach one of our Secondary classes.
Julia McPhee. Dance Teacher (Beverly Taylor Sorenson, BTS, Grant). We’ve been awarded the BTS grant this year so we’re able to have Julia here to work with our students in Dance and we’re so excited to have them experience this art form!
Cammy Kennedy and Rebecca Griffin. Music Interns. Will be working with our amazing Alison Wendel-Bennett to provide music therapy class to our students.
Deb Armstrong. Transition Specialist/Community Outreach Coordinator. Deb actually joined us in January, but I wanted to introduce this amazing woman who has been an amazing resource to so many parents and staff already.
Jenna Lewis. Nurse. Will be starting at Hartvigsen, soon. She also used to be a para educator at Hartvigsen, so we are excited to have her back onboard!
We’ve also been very fortunate to hire over twenty amazing para professionals with a wealth of experience and big hearts to join our Hartvigsen family and help our kiddos succeed!
