What is a Fun Run?
It is a fun and healthy alternative to the traditional sales-based fundraiser. We keep 100% of the money raised to support our school community. The money raised will go to help our students go on fun field trips, earn exciting assemblies and provide classroom supplies. Prior to the Fun Run students will ask family/friends for pledges per lap or a flat donation. Throughout the day on March 15, students will take turns running and walking around a track. The kids have a lot of fun seeing how many laps they can make in the allotted time. After the Fun Run the students will gather the pledges or donations they received and return their envelopes back to the school by March 17th. For every $5.00 raised the student’s name will be entered into a drawing for awesome prizes. Winners will be announced at an awards assembly on March 22nd. Example: A student goes out and gets 5 family members/friends to donate $5 each. The student returns $25.00 in the Fun Run envelope by March 17th. The student has helped earn a prize for their class by returning the envelope on time, and will also have their name entered 5 times in the drawing for prizes. If each family in our school raises/donates $20, we have the potential to raise more than $10,000. Thank you for your support of our Hillsdale students.
